Company-Wide Security Alert: Ban on OpenClaw/Moltbook AI Tools

Hello CloudOne Digital Team Members,

We’re issuing a company-wide security directive regarding an AI “agent” tool currently circulating online under the names OpenClaw and Moltbook (also seen as Moltbot or Clawdbot).

Unlike typical chatbots, these tools are designed to take actions on a user’s behalf (e.g., connecting to email/chat, reading and writing files, executing commands, and installing “skills”/extensions). This creates an unacceptable security risk to CloudOne Digital systems and data.

Effective immediately:

  1. Do not use or install OpenClaw, Moltbook, Moltbot, Clawdbot, or any related/associated tools on any CloudOne Digital device or within any CloudOne Digital-managed environment (laptops, servers, etc.).
  2. Prevent access to CloudOne Digital devices from other devices running these tools.
    • Do not connect a personal device running OpenClaw/Moltbook to company resources (VPN, corporate Wi-Fi, SSO apps, internal tools).
    • Do not tether, remote-control, or “pair” these tools with any company device.
  3. Prevent access to CloudOne Digital data of any kind by these tools.
    This includes (but is not limited to): source code, repositories, customer data, internal documentation, meeting notes, tickets, roadmaps, credentials/tokens, screenshots, exports, logs, and chat/email contents.
    • Do not link these tools to corporate email, calendars, messaging apps, file stores, code hosts, or browser sessions where you are signed into company services.
    • Do not paste company information into prompts or upload company files to these tools.

If you have already used or installed any of these tools (even briefly):

  • Disconnect it immediately from any accounts/services.
  • Notify Security/IT right away so we can assist with safe remediation (token/key rotation, device checks, access review).

We will follow up with additional technical controls (detection/blocking) as appropriate. In the meantime, compliance with the above is required to protect CloudOne Digital, our customers, and your accounts.
